Meet Maya. Introducing Seche Florals.

"I was supposed to get married this year. The theme for my bridal shower was Ethereal garden, so I thought it would be really fun to make all these DIY dry floral arrangements. My friends actually call me Maya Stewart because I have always been the go-to event planner and curator. I cannot tell you how many dish sets and different colored glasses and candle wear and floral designs I had thought of for my wedding. I love curating. So, I ordered a ton of dry flowers and had them stockpiled. But as you can imagine, I never ended up getting to use them. That’s when I decided I would turn my love for curating into putting arrangements together with my stockpiled dry florals! I started off by naming them after my bridesmaids and characterized them based on personas. Like for my friend Eliza, she was supposed to get married. Her arrangement is filled with blues to honor her wedding and since she’s always embodied the coastal vibe, I thought of seashell whites and oceans blues in a vase. So I added a fanned out palm and bunny tails to represent the beach. They're definitely pretty intentional and Eliza’s reaction was my favorite part. When I launched Seche Florals online back in April, I decided to give 10% of all purchases to charities. But since then, I’ve grown to doing themed arrangements like my Dr.Seuss collection as well as collaborations with people. It's been really fun to share these descriptions of my friends and people that I care about, and have them just like wake up one morning and see themselves personified in an arrangement." - Maya, Founder of Séche Florals
